[Closed] Reverb Button Kit: Any Difference Between "Left" and "Right"?

Yesterday I crashed and snapped the button on my Left hand Reverb remote. Bollards.

I still have the piece, and it's only the shaft that snapped.

The web is awash with Reverb Button repair kits, but only for Right Hand remotes. Here's a picture of what the kit includes (not a lot for 40 squids!). [img] [/img]

QUESTION:

Will a right hand kit work ok for my left hand remote?

Thanks all
Steve

I don't know for sure, but if it will fit and just turns it into a right handed, then if you aren't doing it already, mount it under the bars on the left. That way you are less likely to snap it.

That's why a lot buy right handed ones to go on the left.

Thanks Dead Kenny

Yeah I actually run with the Left remote mounted upside down on the right hand side. Still snapped it when I crashed though.

I think the only difference could be with the black metal button itself ( the right hand-most item in the photo). If so, should be no problem mounting it on a Left remote, right???

I suppose it's more the mount that makes a difference left or right. The above photo doesn't look specifically one or the other apart from the button part.

Anyway, I can't be certain if it fits. Someone with a better understanding may be able to answer that. Looks like it should though.

I have exactly the same problem. Did the right kit work on your left lever?

Left or Right Kit will work on any sided remote no problem at all.

The only part thats different is the actual button that you press. The button isnt actually symmetrical and so the left/right are ever so slightly different.

You can still flip 180 so that the extension is towards your hand.
