I have just got a new Reverb Stealth B1 and would like to remove the Connectamajig completely from the system - can't see the point of the connector since internal routing needs the button removing anyway to install/remove the hose and it will bottom out on my frame internals when I drop the post fully into the frame.

It looks like I can just unscrew the complete Connectamajig and re attach the original hose directly to the base of the post, then rebleed.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

I think you need a different hose kit, the connector is crimped to the hose and does not fit the base of the post.

You can use a normal hose kit. I've just fitted a stealth B1, used the existing reverb cable (saves re-routing the cable)

The nice thing about the connectamajig is you can pop the post up and disconnect it to remove it a few times without needing a bleed as it has a ball that closes it like a compressor airline fitting.

It is crimped to the hose though like shimano brake hose banjos which is irritating.

You would be best replacing the whole hose with new barb type end fittings as the connectamajig hose is then reusable should you want to put it back on or sell it.

Cheers

I was advised the Reverb 'just fits' but last night found there's a linkage that pierces the seat tube, orientating this correctly lets the barb clear a groove.

So short answer is Reverb fits, no need to remove connectamajig. Sorted. I found an old barb so may remove itnin future anyway, can't see the need on my setup, adds complexity and weight.

just by the barb and strain relief, if you are not fussed by the connectamajig, you can cut it out the system. did exactly that with mine. takes about 10 mins all in.
