Bought a second hand reverb today and it failed over llandegla today. Holds air pressure but won't hold position. Drops pretty much to the bottom when sat on and wont stay down when depressed.
Will get a mandatory bleed later but any advice on how to cure the issue?

Easy enough to do if you follow the videos taking you through each step. Is a bewildering array of seals and other stuff in there though!
I'm going to take a punt and say the poppet valve at the top isn't properly in place, so the 'lock' isn't happening. You'll probably need to do a full strip. Expect this to require some patience.
Actually, if that is the case you might ([i]might[/i]) be able to make it vaguely work by removing the poppet valve (let air out first, wear glasses, don't compress the post), topping up with oil, draining to the right height and then reassembling.
This is a theory I haven't tested yet and I don't know how effective it would be. You may just be better off with a full service.
