You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I’m considering going wireless, in part due to lack of internal routing but more a case of wanting to be able to swap seat posts very quickly with minimal fuss, something I do place a significant value on.
Any owners here regret the investment? Or on balance is it all good?
I have had about a dozen rides or so on mine, no regrets at all, just works !
Cables, pah.. 😁

Good luck at finding any in stock.
For the size I need I have been quoted Feb 2022 as the restock date…….
Nice 👍
Ive a Scott Twin Loc system so can only dream of such a cable free environment
No, none at all. I have 2 and I’m 18 months in. If you can afford it go for it, you won’t look back!
No regrets other than I it could be lighter - but that's wish list stuff.... Had it for about a year with no issues at all.

Yeh, I have seen availability is a bit pish. I’m not expecting to be using one next week, but if I do go down that road I’ll want to stash the money ready to buy if/when I find availability/back order completion

Weight saving is actually part of my thinking, there are plenty of rides I do where a dropper is just dead weight. So a second standard post with a comfy saddle would be swapped out in that scenario.
X01 AXS arrived last week, would have picked up a Reverb AXS but would like more then 170mm, hopefully a longer drop comes out soon!
I still have a brand new 100mm 30.9 reverb axs x00 for sale... PM me.
Note as its only 100mm the insertion length is about 190mm, so if you need a min of 100mm in the frame, then its 90mm, plus about 35mm collar thickness, 100mm of drop and then the height of the saddle clampy bits.
easy to use a shim to 31.6 or 34.9

Had X01 AXS for probably nearly 2 years now, and a reverb for about a year. Both utterly awesome.
The reverb still suffers from the usual reverb issues, has a bit of play as the 'keys' wear, but outside of that, its an excellent bit of kit.
I love the lack of cables, the crisp shifts and thus far, its reliability.
Go for it!
Still can't get one, as they are stuck in the stone age & don't do one with a 200mm drop.
But when they do, i'll probably get one 🙂
Love my GX AXS, and that's from coming from XX1 Eagle.
Had mine about 18 months and it's worked flawlessly.
I had to warranty my AXS rear mech though, due to one of the spring loaded battery contact pins ceasing to be spring loaded. SRAM replaced it with no questions asked. The only slight hassle was having to pay a UK dealer an admin fee to process the claim as SRAM won't deal directly with consumers, and that was easier than returning it via the European shop I bought it from.
Brilliant performing stuff.
Regrets? Forgetting to charge my seatpost battery before driving 2 hours to ride the Beast at Coed Y Brenin and having to ride it all with the seat half way down.
Batteries last me months so it’s easy to forget to check.
No regrets on the purchase of the technology but I'm now thinking I should have bought a longer drop...can't afford a new one even if I did sell this one...but I may work out a way at some point.
I've had one for just over 12 months but only ridden the bike a few times with it on.
A couple of months ago, charged the battery, went to use it and nothing.
Day before it worked in the house, day after charging - nothing.
I made a thread here about it but, long story short is it was replaced under warranty. Took 2 months to come and now back fitted and working well.
I can't find anybody else that had the same problem in the interweb so hopefully an isolated case.
Would get the gears to match if I didn't like Shimano shifters so much.
I picked up a new 31.6 (150mm drop) AXS post in January with 25% OFF, it's been flawless TBH. Whilst it adds a bit of extra weight vs. the old Reverb it replaced, the wireless is slick, the battery lasts for ages, it responds quickly and is infinitely adjustable. Seriously tempted to try the GX AXS now.
I will have a 31.6 170mm drop brand new available in the next week for sale as it won’t fit my new frame if anyone’s interested
I have X01 AXS on both bikes and love it. Shifing is a dream, I'd hate to go back now.
I had AXS reverb on one bike and didn't find it anywhere near as much of a benefit. When I swapped over to a frame with a different seat tube size, I sold the AXS reverb and much prefer the Bike Yoke that replaced it.
AXS shifting - Yay! AXS reverb - Meh.
I have had a 170mm AXS Reverb since sept 2020. Pretty much every other day use around Stirling and second home in the tweed valley. No issues at all. Just need a longer drop. My ripmo needs a 200mm post and it will sit pretty flush.
All my cable droppers froze this last winter on Caberston and also on the Ochils in snow. They did not last long after those freeze events. Oneup/BikeYoke200mm. AXS not an issue down to negative temps.
I had/have a reverb axs.
I sent it back last year for warranty inspection as it was sagging 6 or 7mm.
sram sent it back saying they couldn't replicate the fault!
I put it back on the bike only to find it was still sagging. Rode it like that for a bit until it started sagging more than 10mm. The vent valve procedure had no effect.
Sent it back for the second time in January of this year and was told it would be replaced under warranty. Initially told no stock until april and then told no stock until late July! They did however send me normal reverb to use in the interim.
I loved it though until it started sagging but hopeful the replacement will last
For a simple component hydraulic & now wired droppers seem a needlessly over engineered way of doing things. Not to mention expensive. Simpler, lighter, cheaper mechanical options seems a better choice to me IMHO.
Simpler, lighter, cheaper
Ha you must be new here
Simpler, lighter, cheaper....
Isnt that just

In a nutshell - yes 🤣.
By all means if you want to drop £500+ on a seat post crack on - I’ll stick to something mechanical that costs significantly less, is lighter, doesn’t need servicing with its attached stupid costs & is actually reliable..
Each to their own!
Can't argue with that idea other than getting the saddle back to normal riding height - I can never get that right. Of course, if I'd had the foresight to buy a Hite-Rite then I'd be sorted as that would make things very easy - remain light and simple but would also ensure the proper saddle position when it was returned to normal ride height.
Of course not many people want a sprint sticking out the front or rear of their seatpost, so naturally that idea died off in the early 90s...
Droppers work very well on the whole but they do have a different lifecycle than a standard non-telescoping seatpost - that just tends to need removed once a year to get a quick wipe and reapplication of grease (may be more frequent if you adjust saddle height very frequently) - given how quick and easy a dropper makes it to adjust saddle height. I really don't fancy all the stops and starts that a QR lever would introduce the the way rides work these days, so the dropper wins on that respect as it means you don't need to stop if you need to adjust the saddle height.
