So the Reverb which came with my new bike has gone back under warranty (the seat clamp de-bonded and you could rotate the seat with the shaft well clamped). Moved the one from my old bike, which was working just fine, but now needs a bleed.

What £200ish alternatives are there? Fox etc seem to be £350ish

Just got a one up components 170mm dropper. Seems great so far! What size you need? Happen to have another 170mm, 31.6 oneup dropper brand new in the box. Going for a steal at £140!

I'll check those out (however I'd rather pay a bit extra and have a warranty).

Brand X, don't know anyone with one who wouldn't recommend them.

OneUp - amazing post and amazing value.

Been one of the only posts I have used taht literally has no play what so ever and I was able to fit 150mm in where as all others makes were 125mm max.

Order through UBYK and use the Singletrack discount code.

I like the idea of being able to shim the length down. Currently have 150mm reverb with just under 20mm of post showing. 170mm OneUp could be an option.

If it’s a stealth reverb, stick a Woltooth ReMote Sustain on. Turned a reverb into a new post! Nice action and no bleed on the remote needed.

Fox Transfer has been faultless on my bike. I just had it serviced after 2 years and a lot of riding (enough to wear out a set of Hope discs to way below spec) and was told the inside was still clean without issues.

Brand X seem fine but the stock lever is horrible - loads of reasonably priced alternatives though. eg The Trek lever if you can find it in stock.

The new style Brand X lever is pretty good.

one up seems a good bet - not got the post but do have the EDC thing and quality is impressive so if that is carried over....
Or the new racface ones - basically a transfer

Another vote for brand x. I actually find the original remote to be ok.

Having had Reverbs, Crank Bros and Thomson posts I’d say the Brand X I now have is as good as any of them (& only a tenner more to buy than it cost to service the Thomson posts!)
Mine has the newer lever which isn’t too bad but I will probably put a Wolftootg one on it eventually.

I had two Command Posts. Gave up on them as they were unreliable. Just purchased a Brand X, they are about half the price and I've been told they're a lot more reliable than the Command Posts and Reverbs, so if this is true then what is the point of buying the latter two

If on a budget One Up if not Bike Yoke.
Both great posts.

I've just replaced a thrice warrantied Reverb (no complaints, I got 5 years out of it in a Triggers' broom fashion) with the newer BrandX post. It seems fine, works well and quality appears decent. Certainly a good value option with east retailer support in the UK.

I have both a Brand X and a One Up. Both excellent but the Oneup has no play and feels higher quality. The Oneup lever is superb and can match any lever too if you don't want a clamp. Having said that you could have a Brand X with a Oneup lever as they are sold separately.
