I have no tokens in my fork.

I'd like them to respond to small, slow speed  hits better. If I fit a token and lower the air pressure would this give me the results I want?

Theoretically yes, the lower pressure would mean it would be more supple on smaller hits and the token would make it more progressive deeper in the stroke.

However, if your revelations have the motion control damper, the limit will be the damper. No tokens or air pressure will help, it's known to be poor on small successive hits.

After trying every combination of token and air pressure on my Revelations, I realised they were just rubbish on repeated hits. I fitted a Debonair spring and Charge 2 damper and the difference is night and day (it should be, it's basically a Pike now I believe, although someone may tell me different).

I did the same as gunz and fitted a charger 2 damper. Night and day difference. Yes, is now a pike. Much better small bump sensitivity over repeated chattery hits. And my sore wrists have gone away!!!

hi - i also fitted a charger 2 to mine. better but still struggling to get them just right. 130mm 29er fitted to a 2018 chameleon. Still feel a bit battered at times after riding them

Are people finding they need less air than RS recommend, what rebound are folk running -generally fast/slow etc??

I got one of the bargain 200quid ones from crc. Fitted a new 120mm debonair shaft. I have to set the rebound to full fast and I only weigh 70kg. I've had to run higher pressure than recommended and also been removing the 3 tokens. Felt ok with one token, not tried yet with zero. Doesn't feel anywhere near as good as the pike on my other bike.

I had a bit of a breakthrough with mine at the weekend. I've got some 2018 Rev RCs that came on my Hawk Hill, they're the debonair ones and I've got no idea what they've got in tokens wise.

I was running about 95psi in them when I get it as per the guide, I borrowed a shockwiz and it recommended dropping 5% so I reduced to 87.5% (got a digital pump too!) but I still wasn't impressed compared to the Sektors I had on my old Hardtail.

I hadn't managed to bottom them out even after a particularly hairy decent so I decided to drop a bit more pressure and wend out with 75PSI in at the weekend. It was much better, it's still not too plush when you're sat down but in the attack position the forks are much better. No issues with Cannock's braking bumps or the couple of rock gardens I went crashing through. Still didn't bottom out either.

I'd like to try some 140s on this bike though, so I might keep an eye for some cheap pikes, rather than butchering these. We shall see.

Edit - for info I weigh about 86KG at the moment, plus gear.

OP, as you're after small bump sensitivity I think it's worth investing in a Debonair upgrade. They're only £30ish and have a larger negative spring which should help.

The Charger 2 upgrade (£200) changed mine significantly.
