They were working fine at the weekend.

Now the lockout is engaged in both the lockout option and the middle "trail" option. Fully open they feel normal.

What's up? Last serviced around 12 months ago but they really haven't had much heavy use (but used regularly). They were smooth as just a few days ago.

What damper have you got? Perhaps there is grease or some other contaminant on your damper where the oil is supposed to pass through? Assuming it is an open bath damper.

I'm going guess it's the rct3 damper 😆

So fully open works. But middle and lockout are both feeling the same.

Umm... a pop is a good sound. Right?

Removed all air and had the forks fully open on the slowest rebound. Push down, not hard and seal and wiper popped off the right leg. Oops. Anyway wiper was still damp with oil and clean so I pushed it all back in. Voila. Fully functioning now. Was dreading I'd fubar'd them. Blown something. Might have got away with a lucky bodge.

Strange that the seal popped off the right hand (damper) side, that usually happens on the spring (left side) if air has got into the lower leg from the air spring. When you say right leg, do you mean the right leg looking from behind the fork (damper side)? Is it a Motion Control damper or a Charger damper?

Part of the damper has a habit of unscrewing in these and can cause the issue with the lockout changing.

Yeah right side as sat on the bike / damper side. That was the seal and wiper that popped. Well, whatever happened, it's all working now.

Here's a pic 🙂
