Got a new 35mm Revelation RC fork on a bike i'm testing and I've set them up as I normally.
What i'm finding is that the small bump sensitivity is lacking, they feel smooth on the larger hits but harsher than i'm used to on repetitive smaller bumps, has anyone got one of these and got any advice on setup.
They currently have 1 token in are running with 30-35% sag.
Cheers
I opened up the rebound on mine seemed to improve things.
It all seems to depend on the surface, it’s certainly not plush on everything, I’ve not seen much tuning info on the net.
I was going to open mine up and do a lower service to ensure the oil levels are correct.
29er Rev 140mm RCT3 here, 3 tokens, 30% sag, I'm 84kg
Don't know what adjustment you have, but I run 2 clicks off open of low speed compression damping and rebound at about half way
Very personal I know but hope that might be a starting point
I have the 120mm travel 29 version! Played about with them for ages, the best I’ve managed to get them is 95psi, 5 tokens and 5 clicks of rebound from fully fast. Riding weight is about 175lb/180lb. These forks aren’t the RCT3 though. They seem pretty good now.
I've found that you can either set them up for big bumps or for small bumps, but not really both as it always seems to be a bit of a compromise .... I had a coil set years ago which were much better.....
Really brings it home how bad they are when I go out on my bike with Pikes on, or even the one with Rebas on shows them up TBH
I had a set of older Yari forks and they seemed much plusher, guess I'll just faff with settings a bit more try find a happy balance.
It's luftkappe time !
😯 35% sag?
Whats the travel/wheelsize on the revs?
