Anyone know of any shops with this in stock (in black). Backcountry.scot have it in blue which is not my preference but could go with! Or any other design of top tube/gas tank style bag that has a fixing at the top suitable for us with a drj0n widget? I guess I could attempt to add something to an existing bag, e.g. the Alpkit one I already have, as a last ditch!

Backcountry Scot also have the Alpamayo top tube bag which excellent. Very stable by itself, I just put a loop of elastic around my top cap to make it even more solid.

I’m selling an alpamayo top tube bag. See Bearbones classifieds.

could be a goer... can you elaborate on this please? Did you add the extra elastic yourself? Don't suppose you've got a photo?

I can take a photo tonight, but basically there's 2 or 3 webbing loops on the front of the bag so you can adjust the height of the velcro strap that goes around the steerer. The elastic loop goes through the top one and round the top cap, it mainly helps to keep the bag in place when opening the zip, as it's a bit stuff when new.

thanks, sounds like it'll work well with the widget then (which is a little buckle that sits just below the top cap)

Oh, that's good thinking, was wondering how to get mine to play nicely with a short stem and a carbon headtube.

Not the most high-tech solution, but it's cheap, light and also means it's super quick to move the bag from one bike to another, unlike the widget spacer.
