You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
This bike has been donated to a small charity my partner helps to run. If it was an MTB I'd have a clue what they could sell it for, but this I don't. Any ideas as to value? Many Thanks.

I'd ask on Retrobike if I were you
Thanks for the prompt, I've just been across & done that.
Must be people on here who have an idea as well though.
What is it? only looks about 20ish years old at most, is that considered retro for roadbikes? not very high spec or well preserved either. does it have any interesting history?
if it was a private sale (not for charity) somewhere around £60 would be a good price to expect.
Looks like 95-98 era, a mate ha a similar one at the time. Probably go for about £60 on here or about £100-115 on eBay I reckon
Yep, pretty much worthless unless you can find a collector/enthusiast for that specific line of vintage.
Here's hoping you can get a good price for it, though! Retrobike is the place, as others have said. If there is such a collector/enthusiast, that's where they'll be!
Them frames had a horrible habit of cracking at the rear drop-outs...
Thanks for the comments guys.
With the help of someone on retrobike I know what it is now.
(Jan) 1990 Cannondale SR400 - size 50cm
Full Shimano RX100 groupset.
Alesa Rims with RX100 hubs
Spare wheel rear wheel & casette Mavic MA40 on 105 hub
Sprockets & chainwheels look hardly used.
Wheels need spokes tensioning up.
Needs replacement tubes.
Cables need replacing.
Other than that it looks pretty good.
£60 ish as a runabout/hack bike for some student or similar (probably £40 if you sell it as seen needing new tyres/cables).
Small size so probably a bit more difficult to shift as well.
Honestly, it's nothing special at all - about the only thing in it's favour is that it's in good condition.
