All I have to go on is fully rigid. Ally. Anodised purple and has a sticker that says Series 12. Non integrated seat clamp.

Betting begin!

Picture? Forks may give it away. If the components are original then that will also help date it.

Or retrobike will know the answer!

Sounds like a 1997ish O2. Series 12 will be the own brand tubes and 12 will be aluminium. From memory series 7 was c16, 8 was p7, both obviously steel. The O2 was the lower of the aluminium ht’s with the e3 or 4 above it. Could be one of those.

Anyway, go on retrobike and check out the manufacturer archive as they have all the 90’s Orange catalogues on file so it should be easy to find.

Maybe an Aluminium O? Think they did them in anodised purple.

They also anodised the original Elite, but only for a year or so. Both the Elite and O were about before the ‘series’ tubes from memory.

Check this out:

It’s actually the Gringo that had series 12, from 1999 on.

1998 Orange Evo 2 came in purple but is made from Series 14 alu (I've just checked the one in my kitchen), so it's older than that.

Looks similar to my 1998 O2, seat stays, cowled dropouts, even the same forks I think RST 461, and similar saddle. Crank and wheels look older or lower spec. Can't tell if it has two sets of bottle bosses and a set under the down tube for crud catcher, which mine has. Evo2 had rear disk brake mounts I think. Gringo was very similar frame to the O2.
