After Some help/recommendations of any good till/Epos systems
.
It is for a cycle shop, but a good retail software should also work,
At the moment I useing "TouchPOS" on a touch screen, but it gone haywire and not able to use the till side or fix it with my lack of knowledge.
So has anyone got hands on experience with,
Evopos
Seanic retail
and
Acbacus software.
feedback goor or bad on above would be great
or
any other names/company I should look at.
thanks
Do you want something that would work with a website and do you need repair/quote etc functionality or straight sales?
How much are you looking to spend? Monthly or upfront costs? Do you need built in accounting features or do you do that via another program like sage?
No experience of the ones you mention but plenty of looking at retail systems. Look for ones who deal in your sector and ideally with other bike shops trading similarly to you they will let you talk to about their software.
Thanks Nick,
Not got "shop" on website as such & don't really want to do online sell, but like to show what we got so to speak. shop window, end of line/ex demo etc.
I do use Sage, basic accounts, and looked into Sage a bit more today, so I need to up grade and then looks like I have to then "add" a after market Epos program to it, plus add sage pay, price just seemed to go up & up.
Upfront or monthly, prob monthly but not set in stone, some are both pay x about then pay monthly for support etc.
At the mo I just do a print what I done for the week, (it brakes it down into departments, brands/workshop/ parts etc) I just add total into sage, simple, only take up a bit of time.
The ones I mentioned I know do bikeshops as I know a few people who use some of them, but just want to get a wider feedback.
If you do have a couple other names that you deal/know of nick that be great.
bump for the morning crowd 😉
Citrus Lime are worth a look.
I was going to suggest citris lime but was beaten to it im pretty sure they do training days and the likes when instaling too
Ascend works well. Was only available to Trek retailers, think they may be rolling out to non-trek retailers now.
Abacus was pretty dreadful when I stopped using it 5 years ago but may have improved since.
Andy & Rscott
have you used got experience of citrus lime?
I have had a bit of a look at Citrus Lime but time you add on the basic stuff it is a lot of money, plus not hearing great things about them/the system from a few people I know who use it, from what they say it does not do what citrus lime say it should do, so spending a lot of money for something that does not work correctly.
Thanks Simon, not heard of Ascend so might make a phone call.
again hearing mix thing about Abacus, basic does the job, not pretty but works.
Bit like what I got now (when it worked)
Got a online test with one on Monday,
Thanks again for the feed back
Vend is quite good for retail, I believe, but we haven't found it good for hospitality.
We're going over to Intelligent POS.
While you're looking at accounts package, take a look at Xero, working well and cheaper than Sage.
