Following on from some recent restoration threads, it's got me thinking... Would like to breath some new life into the old girl but need some respray inspiration.

So come on, let's see some resprays/restorations with bonus points for before and after pics. I also want to know what colour you went for, where it was done and how much it cost. Extra points for good quality/thrifty ratio!

Picked up an aluminium Hardrock frame recently:

A DIY paint job later:

Pretty pleased with it for £20 worth of paint and materials and a few hours work 🙂

I had my old Dave Yates resprayed for Mme Monteresse's TransAm ride. Henderson's in Edinburgh did the job in Kawasaki green. I think they blasted and painted it for £80

The frame came to me with most of the paint of it, I just used some wet & dry paper to clean it up and get it all smooth. Then used some Plasticote primer, Graphite metallic paint and then Pasticote laquer on top. All from Wilkinsons. Painted it hanging from a tree in my back garden with bungee straps.
