Hi. I am just in the process of changing the foam rings and wipers according to this process (float 32 RL)

link

I have drained the suspension fluid as it appeared to be mucky & was quite old. with regards to replacing it I am aware I need 30 ml on the spring side but for the 160 ml on the damper side do I just put it inside the stantion or do i need to replace it from the top end (removing the damper top cap)

Thanks for any help guys. JD

Think it can be done from the lowers, be sure to cycle the damper tho to remove any remaining oil in there.
edit: when i say lowers i mean from removing lowers and emptying from the stantion providing they are open bath?

If they need 160ml, then they are open bath.
Thus, you can put the oil in anywhere in that leg - it all sloshes around between the upper and lower legs in use.
You can undo the top cap and pull the top of the damper up and fill it from there, or undo the bottom of the damper at the drop out and fill the lower legs from there.

You need to look at the fox tech servcing instructions.
Have you drained the old oil out of the damper?

Look HERE for all you need to know

You say you have drained all the fluid, unlike Bikeradar I think are keeping all theirs in the uppers since their fork is upside down. I'd do it the way you are doing it. When you have refitted the lowers turn your fork upsidedown and put the fluid in through the holes in the bottom of each lower before you replace the crush washers, base nuts and rebound adjuster.

Follow the fox link and you can't go wrong, just remember to operate the damper to let out all the oil
