Hi,

I've been told I can just push out the bearing and reuse the shell?

Or should I just replace it with a whole new PF30.

No I don't want a different BB yet, I find it great on a 1x11.

I've just done pretty much the same - pushed the cups out with the bearings still in, then tapped them out and re-seated the cups with Loctite.

Then pressed new Enduro bearings in.

Hopefully that's cool anyway, haven't ridden it yet!

Thanks for the advice.

Think I have a new set of BB30's I might try.

The manufacturer used some sort of glue on the shell maybe loctite.

I'll try to get them out without damaging them.

My enduro plastic cup glued in and I can just replace the bearings leaving the cups in the frame. But despite pf30 poor reputation mine is only on its third set in 3 years

I used 3m dp 420 as that's what I had but have used gorilla glue on my mates one and that's working just fine and creakfree

Cheers, I'm going to try and tap out the bearings while the cups are still in.

If not, I'll check the condition of the cups and order a spare PF30.

Mine are clicking but I've been riding in filthy conditions for months/ 1000 miles?

I might look into reinforcing the seals on the bearings or buying a praxis converter for winter - if it goes off quickly again.

I was planning on just replacing just the bearings but the Park Tool remover wouldn't pass the cups so ended up knocking them out as well. LBS hadn't used any Loctite on the cups when they installed it 12 months ago.

Worth noting it's not glue as such, it's a retaining compound that shouldn't make it too difficult to knock them out. Loctite 641 with 7649 activator.

I've used it to re-seat mine, although it's been fine dry I wanted to avoid having to knock everything out again, possibly damaging the new bearings in the process.

Update, hammered out the cups gently, cleaned the shell, applied gentle lictite 641 and pressed in the new pf30 BB. Let set over 24hrs.

Worked great however the adjuster on SRAM's cranks are a bit naff.

If the adjuster has broken sram do sell it on its own , and if you undo the pinch bolt to far it allows the ring to open up to much stopping the threads engaging

Just buy a wheeels manufacturing PF30 BB . They are designed to have the bearings replaced when they wear out , unlike the scabby Sram ones .
