What have I done wrong?
After my Micro Drive died this winter, I sourced a replacement battery (not Lezyne) but correct size and have just fitted it. Light has lit up but I cant turn it off. I cut off the original connector and soldered and shrink wrapped the new wires to the existing tales. So I am now waiting for the new battery to go flat. The switch feels like it making the correct click but is not scrolling through the different light program including off!
Any ideas ?
thanks
Sounds like a problem with the surface mount switch. Remove the rubber cover from the top and try pressing the switch through the hole. It may be misaligned after you’ve slid the housing back on.
Thanks Smudge. I think the button was connecting properly - i could press it whilst the circuit board was out of the body and it still would not work. I let it run flat hoping it might reset, I then recharged and the green light flashed to suggest it was charging and went solid when charged but now nothing. I can only think there was some of the controls attached to the old battery.
Anyway junk now fit for solder practice only. Shame my attempt to recycle and reuse has resulted in extra waste and cost!
