Anyone got any experience with doing this? The preload washer on my sram carbon cranks isn't doing it's job so I'm thinking of just using one or two spacers/shims to ake up the slack and preload the washers. Is it that simple. I won't start bodging until tomorrow morning but thought I'd consult the oracle of singletrackworld first.
Cheers,
Matt

BB30 brackets normally come with a selection of nylon 'washers' for this purpose. you only need to take up the slop though, not actually add preload to the bearing.
