I just noticed I have a broken spoke on the disc side of my rear wheel.
Does anyone know what spoke I need and where I can pick one up from online?
Has anyone had to do this themselves before? Will I be able to thread it in just removing the disc and not the cassette?
Failing that, can anyone recommend a trusted bike shop around South Birmingham/Redditch area where I could get it fixed for a reasonable price?
Thank you
Spoke length depends on the hub, post the hub up and someone will be able to tell you the length, also which side of the hub is it and what size rim?
Its a Boardman FS PRo, there are no names on the hubs.
It is a 27.5 inch wheel on the disc side of the wheel.
Try Speeds cycles for repair, newish shop in Redditch, older established shop in Bromsgrove.
If you take the wheel to most any LBS they should be able to sort you out the right sized spoke/nipple. Swapping is easy to do yourself 😉
Went to Speeds in Redditch, really helpful guy.
Unfortunately, didn't have the right length spoke so popped over to the Bromsgrove one where he fitted it in no time and trued the wheel.
Helped me get back on the bike for the weekend, great service.
