I'm looking to replace my WTB Pure saddle as it is now falling to bits after a couple of years hardish riding. I'm a bit disappointed with the build quality tbh, tears easily, splits at the seams, lost padding etc- but very comfy indeed.

What I need is a long-lasting version of the Pure.

Any suggestions?

How long do you expect saddles to last? Unless they're really expensive, stick with what's comfy, even if you do have to replace it every few years.

I stopped using SDG Bell Airs because after a while they creaked badly.

I now use a Charge Spoon, They are really good.

I have 2 Bell Airs but to be honest find my mates WTB saddles to be comfier, must be the shape of my ass!
Sounds like your saddle lasted pretty well though. The only saddles I would expect to last longer is a Brookes!

I was always a WTB fan, & still have one on an old post for the kids tag-along, but the Charge Spoon is better. For me.

Blimey- maybe I ask too much of my kit. Off to find another Pure then. Any ideas of the best deal at the moment then anyone?

I've been using the same Bell Air for about 4 or five years now. The corners have slight tears on them now and it creaks like a good un but am impressed by how long its survived.

That said its not as comfy as it used to be and I'm now looking at a new one, possibly a Spoon or Gobi.

Get a tartan Gussett one. The same shape as a Charge Spoon, but loads better, as it's tartan.

Bit left field but I just got a PRO Turnix and it's really comfy. Lots of my friends swear by Fizik Gobi.

It's all personal preference in the end though lets be honest. Take your pick and be prepared to change again if it slices you in two.

My saddle has started to creak badly ie all the time after 2 years. I'm taking it apart today - anything i can do to keep it quiet apart from spraying GT85 all over it?
