Hi Everyone! I've got a Scott Spark 50 2012 model that I'm just stripping down and replacing the bearings on the linkages etc.

I've got the forks off and the headset has taken a battering and is of the old style cup and bearings type. I'm thinking it's probably worth replacing the headset to a sealed bearing type, but wondering what type I will be needing? The frame is tapered, but with a reducer for the bottom race as the forks are standard size.

Do I need a zero stack 1 1/8"? Bit confusing with all the types now out there! Also what brands are reccomended? Nothing to expensive though! Cheers

2 things you could do...

Put your bike details into the cane creek headset fit finder. Then confirm with measurements.

Download the hope pick 'n mix headset tech sheet which shows all the options and measurements for what they do.
