My headset is creaking.

I understand that Crane Creek sell replacement bearings, but I'm confused.

Have a Crane Creek Forty headset but what bearings do I need?

It depends on your frame & fork

Go on the cane creek headset finder, put your frame and fork details in - itll give you the correct specs. Now order the correct bearings from crc, or source generic ones to the same specs. If its integrated its probably just the lower you need.

I brought some from Bird I think. Didn't notice any variety of sizes. Think you have a choice of steel or ceramic. I went with steel for about £20 I think.

I found it more cost effective to replace my CC40 lower with a Hope. The upper is still ok but the lowers just didn't last long.

I also found some Hope ones that fitted and they lasted longer than the Cane Creek ones.
