Morning All

One of my colleagues has been burgled and had both their bikes stolen >:(

The insurance company has offered them replacements and they wanted a second opinion on whether they were getting a good deal or not.

She had a Giant Revel and has been offered a Merida Juliet 100D. She's not too keen on a womens specific bike as she finds them cramped so suggestions for something similar would be appreciated.

He had a Giant Talon for which they've offered a GT Avalanche which seems to benefit from a Rockshox fork and Shimano hydraulic brakes over RST fork and Shimano mechanical discs and better gearing.

Are there any other bikes of a similar spec that would be worth looking at instead of these within a similar price range? Do the insurers have to buy the bikes in which case would it be locked to certain stores or could they be given a cheque and sort out replacements themselves?

Hope that all makes sense, I've just come off of earlies and nights and am a bit frazzle fried :-/

Cheers all 🙂
