I'm considering replacing my shock as I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with its performance.
If I have it set up to absorb small bumps, it blows through its travel way too easily. Conversely, if I increase the pressure to avoid bottoming out, it feels super rough on small bumps. What's more, on long, rocky descents, it has a tendency to overheat badly, at which point it feels like it is locked out. I have already installed the largest possible volume spacer by the way.
I run a RockShox Pike up front, so given my OCD tendencies, it would seem appropriate to run a RockShox shock out back. Any recommendations?
