My eBay skills are failing me (mainly because I don’t know what to look for)
The connectors between my C&B Seen head unit and the battery pack are becoming a bit unreliable. I’m happy to snip them off and replace them, but I’m struggling to find the right thing to replace them with. Any help?
I can't help except to suggest Radio Spares probably have them, because Radio Spares have *everything*. Not sure how you'd find them though. I got replacement Molex ones for my Lupines from there for pennies.
However be careful 'snipping them off' cos if you just take cutters to the cable it'll short the battery out and you might lose it.
Another option is to get a generic connector and replace both sides..?

Yeah, I'm happy to do that, just not sure what I'm looking for. I'll need to get an extra one for the connector to the charger too, but that's not a problem.

Good point, I hadn't thought of that. I shall snip carefully.
Sooo...can anyone point me in the direction of a suitable generic connector? Looking online for 'electrical connector' returns, unsurprisingly, about a quintibazillion results.
ebay item number 191647313967. any good

Yeah, that's not far off, ta. Ideally I'd like to wire into the connector, rather than having it already hard wired, but that's workable.

Also be super duper careful not to let them touch when working. I snipped one short and the other long, so they didn't touch - and taped one up. Then I fitted one pin, put it in the connector so it was safe then trimmed the second wire fitted the pin, so there was no risk of a short.
I used the following parts from RS - these are the RS stock numbers:
679-4805
679-4849
236-3044
236-3050
Because they are the same as the ones you get on Lupine lights. However they aren't the best connectors overall, but they work. I used multiple layers of different sized heat shrink tubing on the batteries and lights to try and give a semblance of water resistance but they ain't waterproof. Also the crimp tool is silly money so I used long nosed pliers and soldered them.
mav12's connectors will be easier to splice onto a wire though than what I did. It wasn't hard but it took a while. I had three batteries, two lights and two chargers though!
Good advice, ta.
I've some of these:

and matching boots:

Only £6 all in, so if they don't seem right I'll go with mav12's options and splice them in with some heat shrink around the splices.
