Quick one - need to order a new hydration bladder probably a 2l, ideally from amazon (prime so I can use it tomorrow evening). Turns out mine has turned in to a kinda science experiment and is only really useful as a prop in a B movie...

Are these things all made relatively equal or are there ones that stand out above the rest? Ideally one with a valve that doesn't constantly leak.

Any recommendations (obviously cheaper the better being a tight fisted git).

Ta.

Like the way my Osprey one works - screw on is old style, now has a zipper closure.
If you can get hold of a magnetic bit for strap, then it will anchor to that.

Look at platypus models as well.

i like my osprey as its got that rib running down that helps with filling and putting into my back pack. However i've had one start leaking where the rib joins the bladder.

is the current one really beyond repair?

Give it a good soak with milton sterilising fluid. Then rinse after each use and keep in the freezer. Another milton treatment when it needs it but the freezer means that's only usually now after a week away camping.

or run it to a local dealer and swap it for a new one - it has a lifetime g'tee šŸ˜‰

I really like the source bladders, but the camelback valve is still the best one out there IMO

What's it like to wear - the straps look like they could make it very stable but hot/uncomfortable?

(ignore me - was looking at http://www.decathlon.co.uk/920-hydration-pack-red-id_8354529.html)
