So I've finally decided my calipers are borked, I'm having to clean the rotors and pads every time I ride otherwise it sounds and feels like I'm using rubber blocks as pads. I can't see any leakage and I don't spray any lubes near the brakes and there's plenty on the net about these calipers leaking. Unfortunately I'm sure these are out of warranty. So what to replace with? I looked at getting new complete sets but they seem to be double the price from when I last get a front and back set so think I might just replace the calipers. M615 and M6000 I think won't fit due to the hoses so looks like only option is M7000, questions are:
Are the newer M7000 more reliable and less prone to leaks?
Will my hoses/banjos fit straight onto the M7000 caliper?
Any good deals on these calipers around?
Thanks

Yep ...
So I’ve finally decided my calipers are borked,
I've yet to find a set can't be fixed if you take the calliper apart but at the cost of a new set sometimes it's just not worth it.

I thought I'd finally killed a pair and the kid had a DH race so I ordered a new calliper (M7000) ...
Currently £32 from WigReactions ... but remember it includes a new set of pads, mount bolts and the retail pack stuff like banjo seals, bleed block, mount bolts ... so its "almost free"
In the time it took for delivery I'd opened the caliper up... flushed out the gunk and cleaned the pistons and it was working again so it's still on but I used the pads and have a spare (for when I finally DO kill one)
If you're not bothered about swapping the hoses over (which is no fuss if you're shortening the hoses anyway)
Shimano Zee Brakeset from Germany:

Just got a set to replace some M675 brakes. The Zee calipers with standard resin pads weighed pretty much the same as SLX with finned pads. The M675 are going strong still though, just need a bit more stopping power for what I've been riding recently.
Good to know the M7000 calipers are compatible
Thanks stevextc, I did wonder about trying to fix them but with the hassle of taking apart, checking seals maybe new/replacement pistons I thought better to get new. After a bit of googling I found them for about £18 each from bike-components.de so think I'll be ordering from them!
Can't really stretch to a complete new set at the moment, but the prices in Germany look good!
