I need to replace the kinked hose on my rear XT brake (M775) and have wandered into the slightly bizarre world of different hose sizes and fittings.
With that in mind, what have you used successfully on yours (bearing in mind that M775s have the same fitting at both ends - no banjos here, m'lud)?
Really not keen on spending the same as it'd cost to buy a new set of Deore anchors, so the more economical the better!
There must be someone running aftermarket hoses on XT brakes?
I had HEL braided hoses on my old model SLX brakes- no complaints, apart from needing a proper big vice to crimp up the fittings.
Shimano use 2 different size hoses and inserts I believe. The older style - such as M775 uses bronze colour inserts and hose BH 63 - the more modern -insert is silver and hose is bh90.

Thanks all. 🙂
