I've recently been contemplating replacing the stock single speed wheels on my Kona Paddy Wagon commuter (for no other reason than they are gopping orange) and have just spotted these on CRC's website:
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=105176

Can anyone advise if a) they represent value for money (they appear to, being reduced from £199.99 to £83.99), b) are they any good (I don't know anything about wheels and there's not a lot of info about them on the site) and c) would they be suitable for commuting across Manchester city centre's lovely potholed roads?

Alternatively can anyone recommend an alternative? Budget would be no more than £100 as I don't really need to replace the wheels I've got - I'm just being a bit of a tart.

Cheers

Don't know anything about those wheels but I have not long ago bought some of the Planet X single/fixed wheels that have been excellent if that helps.

Blazin-saddles - are they these ones?:

If so they look ideal, if a little over what I really wanted to pay...

I have also seen this wheelset (Weinmann rims on Quando hubs) on ebay:

Are Miche hubs that much better than Quando hubs?

this bloke has a good rep on lfgss.com;

http://www.v-sprintwheels.com/pages/track-wheels-custom.html

I bought a cheapo track wheel on e bay from another supplier as a spare race wheel, I think they may buy them in in bulk it's ok but the cup and cones seem to have been welded together and run quite rough. For that reason I'd probably go for v-sprint who build them up themselves.

This looks like a decent set

Slightly over budget but they have quite a large selection at different price points.
