Many many moons ago, I got these.
Them attached nicely onto my lock on grips, and have a sensible sized grub screw at the bottom which holds them nicely in place.
But a change of frame means the blue will have to go, but I cannot find anything like these anywhere. Some bmx places do similar but the aren't compatible with lock on grips. They seem a winner to me, but seems it might just be with me... Anyone know if you can still get anything similar?

Superstar and exotic both spring to mind.
Odi grips also have an end plate that attaches onto their lock on collars. Should come with a set of their grips.
@nixie - I have quite a few of those in my spares box, sadly I just wanted the same as I've got but in red, due to being a middle aged bloke who likes to adorn his dandy horse with small anodised trinkets that have no noticeable performance benefits 🙂
