You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi all
I wonder if anyone's discovered a solution this this intriguing issue please?
As the mud has departed for a while I've been back on the Crank Bro's Mallets & AM9s ;~}
With use, the Mallet pedal pins at the corners wear a circular groove in the sole, entering at the cleat - heres an example that’s seen a fair bit of use
raising the pins more means it gets hard to impossible clip in, hmm
leaving the pins as is means the shoe moves a lot on the cleat as a pivot point once the pins fall into the grooves they made. So the mallet / shoes feel loses its solidity.
Short of new shoes often [WASTEFUL as the uppers are in great nick] have you guys maybe found a repair glue to “fill” the grooves that stands up to wear?
I have ‘shoe goo’ brand repair glue which may not be strong enough or stick well enough.
Thanks for any tips
Neil
