I put a couple of chips in the carbon fork on my commuter on Friday night by knocking over a piece of heavy square steel tube that was leaning against my workbench* whilst hurriedly getting some camping chairs out to maximise time spent sitting in the rain over the weekend.
I've done step one (say as many naughty words as I can think of and kick camping chairs in revenge), what do I do now?
There are two chips, probably 0.5mm deep max. I'm not fussed about aesthetics and it's not going to take much impact, being on my commuter, but I understand I need to make it watertight? Stick some epoxy or fibreglass in and lacquer, or just lacquer?
* Since you asked, I'd welded it to a piece of 4" pipe I'm planning to use as a flue for a gas bottle woodburner to give me some leverage to get a threaded joint apart.

If you want to do a 'proper' job, Easy Composites do a black epoxy repair filler - overfill slightly and then rub-down smooth and finish with finer grades of wet'n'dry.
