Hello STW hivemind

I crashed on my first ride in new big longs, tearing holes in the knee and in my wind stopper jersey.

Any recommendations for where to get lycra-like clothing repaired in the UK?

Cheers!

Got a haberdashery close to me that cycling club lot have used in the past for repairs and adjustments. Worth a look if you have one maybe..

If not somewhere like Alpkit might, I also know that Albion have previously offered repairs. Good luck

I just fix my own, unless really bad, then might ask the wife. She's still not repaired my waterproof (she has at least 7 sewing machines) so I may just bin the waterproof and buy another - she's too busy doing her own projects than repair my stuff.

Rapha repair their own stuff for free. Maybe ask them where they do it and if they’ll do other brands?

p.S hope the crash wasn’t too bad and more importantly how’s the bike?

Thanks. Likes of Rapha, 7Mesh, Endura all offer good repair service but only do their own stuff if I understand right. Might just try my luck with local alterations/seamstress place!

Alpkit do an excellent repair service on any brand of clothing. Wife has had several things fixed by them inc Assos shorts. They did a really nice job too.

Needle and thread. Do it your self 🙂

It's quite easy and therapeutic 🙂
