I'll just leave this here.
Worth watching on a big screen and speakers.
Is there just a link ... embedded YouTube videos aren't playing for me. I can hear them, but can't see them!

Me too. This is a new thing last couple of days.
Nice vid (using the link as same issue as others). The sound of tyre on rock is a wonderful thing
Yup, embedded stuff doesn't work here since the latest YouTube app update.
Anyway, it's bloody awesome. The open slab areas with well spaced, small trees looks the business filmed with a drone. Beautiful images that Killian Bron would be jealous of combined with Remi's mastery of all things Squamish isn't a bad mix at all.
Christ I'm shit on a bike!
The sound of tyre on rock is a wonderful thing.
Yep, I think it just reinforces how bloody steep some of the trails are which are masked by a following drone shot.
First: what a cool video, what a nice place to ride a bike and what a talented rider.
Second: that confirms it for me. Mountain biking videos are MUCH better without music.
I can't tell you how many of these kind of videos are spoilt for me by some naff tune played over the video. The worst sort is the mach0' rock music soundtracks but none are as good as the natural sounds of mountain biking. The music of the tyres on rock or whatever the surface may be is enough for me :o)
Agreed the lack of music really helps.
And agreed I feel like an utterly rubbish rider watching that - meanwhile eldest_oab messages to say have I seen it and that he has worked out where the trails are and hopes to ride them next year when out in Canada...
Best bike vid I've watched for quite some time.
nice vid that. the speed and tyres struggling for traction to slow down really makes it quite nervy doesn't it. it's great.
I really enjoyed that. I don't watch much in the way of MTB on YouTube (as it just underlines how sh*t I am!), but what I really liked about that was it showed how even awesome riders get the jitters or just don't 'fancy it much' sometimes on something that's daunting to them.
His tyres sound sooo draggy.
Probably welcome there 😁
Matt, if your eldest is already targetting hitting the trails in this video, you'll need a major pre trip sit down to make sure he really does understand the risk.
Some of these trails are indeed on the map and easily accessible but represent the biggest producers of serious injury in squamish.
Remy is from a different planet, it's unreal.
So besides from recording and overdubbing the tyre noises on the same descents separately from the drone filming, which given Remi's metronomic, precise, riding god skills is highly possible. How would you possibly eliminate irritating drone noise?

He has a sensible head on him - and has proven he has good judgement of what he is capable of...
^When he first rides In N Out Burger, maybe don't do this 😉

Funnily enough the person in the video went on to be a respected skills coach ha ha.
