Watched a few youtube videos and they say use a 10mm hex to remove - tried it but 10mm isn't big enough. Are there different sizes - what are they?

If it's a through axle hub it needs a 15mm allen key to remove the freehub.

11mm if a standard 135mm hub.

Unless you need a 15mm that won't come in a set. 11mm is usually found on Formula hubs, not Shimano, and is more readily found as 7/16"AF.

I've got a Formula that needed an 11mm and that was a pain because it's not in a normal set. Cost a fair bit for one though I did get a big sturdy decent quality one. Found it hard to find places with them in stock at the time.

Yep, very few tool shops will stock an 11mm, but often have the identical 7/16"AF .
