As title what do you use to remove the sticky residue that is sometimes left by heli-tape?

A solvent will do it. Depends what you've got but I find carb cleaner lifts it off quite nicely. If its really thick a hairdryer can help.

gt85 probably - gets other sticky stuff off, also road tar from car bodies.

isopropyl alcohol or vodka.
also WD40, GT85 etc etc.
