Easy question here.What's the best way of removing decals with having to pick and chip away that them?

You could try citrus degreaser.
Even if it doesn't help with the decals, it'll definitely shift the sticky residue that gets left behind when you scrape the decals off

Depends if they are under or over the lacquer - if under scalpel plus hairdryer, otherwise they'll just come off with the hairdryer.

Ah.Problem.I'm follicaly challenged,so I have no need for a hairdryer. 😆

Then paraffin or WD40 to soften the adheshive

and patience while it works.
