Morning All
I was going to send my CK headset away to be re-anodized but cant seem to get the bearings out. On previous headsets I've had, FSA, Syncros the bearings have been quite easy to get out. The ones in the CK seem a lot more "fixed" and I dont want to force them and bork the headset.
Can they be taken out or do you need some fiendishly expensive specialist tool?
I doubt it's worth the effort, and I don't think CK supply the bearings separately anyway, so don't mess them up.
Not 100% sure but I think you will at least need a special tool, maybe the hub service kit is suitable
Edit:
Thinking it may easy to remove them with hammer+screwdriver or punch, though you will definitely need a press to get them back in.
I've got the hub service kit, nothing in there suitable.
Hmmm thats a nusiance then. I'm glad I asked before popping the cups out the frame lol
Contact evolution imports who bring ck in see what they say. Pretty sure it's a send it back to Chris king to sort it out though.
Bats.
It can be done, this guy did it:

Also have a search on MTBR
As above speak to Evolution imports, one of my headsets it with them currently being serviced.
