Hi all

Just need a bit of advice

My new project has brake bosses on the frame that i'd like to remove.
Will these screw out or will i need to get my dremel out?

Look like brazed/welded on ones. Would need to be unbrazed/unwelded I wooduv thought. I spose you might be able to cut them off then grind the weld smooth, but quite a lot of hassle really. And I'm not sure if you'd damage the frame or not; I've seen a bad job done which left the frame pretty wrecked.

Do they have to come off?

Looks like they're welded, in which case you'll have to cut them off. Be very careful not to damage the tubes...

If they were brazed you could get them off with heat alone. Much friendlier 😉

Thats what i thought as there are no flats on the boss.

They don't really have to come off - just think they look a bit unsightly

I've removed a welded pair by hand before. It takes a while 😉 but looks tidy.
