I can't find any info anywhere about how to remove the bearings. Not even in dt's tech manual. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of how to remove them please? Do I need any special tools, would it be easier to build a space ship from scratch and are the parts available anywhere? Thanks in advance.

You can remove the outer bearings easy enough but removal of the inner bearing needs the ring drive removed with a DT spline removal tool , if you have a hunt around ebay you can usually find just the Spline tool on it's own for approx £10.

I have the same issue, i can't even se how to remove the outer covers to get to the bearings, what joy for something that should be so simple. Hope make these things so easy but DT Swiss are a challenge to behold, absolutely ridiculous

Looking at the technical docs it seems to be basically a DT240S in a funky hub shell?
