ok, so i've taken the advice given here and have started to clean the GFs bike.
i want to grease up the bearings, but cannot for love nor money (well, money might work) get the main pivot bearings out of the chainstay.
do i need a tool for this?
Boardman FS if that helps....
cheers
take the covers off with them in situ and clean/regrease them?
fiddily job, but unless i can remove them that is what i'll do.....
you can damage them removing them so it's best not to re-use them once removed.
cheers for that al!
conversely, buy a new set of bearings and you dont worry half so much what you have to do to remove the existing ones.
youu still need to remove the old ones, though.... ❓
