You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I'm doing the BHF ride in a few weeks time. When I did it last year I had a GPX file for the route but for some reason (possible numpty user error) it didn't work on the day - the route just didn't show up on the map. I've never had a problem since with many other routes.
Anyway I got seriously lost and want to avoid the same fate this year!
Can anyone point me to a GPX of the route that they know works (preferably on a Garmin Dakota as that's what I have).
Cheers!
The South Downs Double site has what you need:

+ lots of other useful stuff such as tap locations.
Thanks, I did look there, just looking for someone who has actually used that file and knows it works. I tried uploading it to bikeroutetoaster and it didn't have any elevation info, made me doubtful. Also it only comes up at 94.66 miles, although it appears to follow the route when you view the map.
I've used it without any snags.
It uses the old (and better imo) route around Warnford.
You can always upload it to mapmyride or something similar if you want to check it but I had no problems using it on an iphone 4 running memory map.
OK thanks, I'll give it a go.
