So I bent my left crank in a crash yesterday (brutal landing on rocky ground from speed) so need to source a replacement. A quick google hasn’t thrown up a replacement left arm only and I haven’t spoken to any lbs’ about it yet.

I’ve currently got a GX 1000 boost 1x crankset - I’d ideally just source a left arm replacement. Although if I find one and it’s spendy I may as well buy a whole new set for £80 ish.

Assuming I can’t find a direct replacement what cranks are good up to £100? Not fussed if it’s gxp / ht2 although in an ideal world I’d like to be able to use Sram steel chainrings as I find they retain the chain really well and are very durable.

I think SRAM are the only ones using 94BCD so you're probably tied into them if you want to use the steel  x-sync rings. GX eagle cranks are £80ish, seems a straightforward swap and you could sell off the alloy eagle ring to recoup some cash.

I hate all these stupid odd standards! The GX Eagle ones are direct mount rather than 94bcd - so I can’t reuse my current steel ring. Looks like a 30t steel direct mount ring is only £8 though - so could do as suggested and sell off the standard alloy 32t one.

Also needs a dub B.B. rather than gxp so couldn’t reuse my current one.

Thought ah I can use my 10% BC code for CRC and now it’s only £10. Angry.

yes you can get the Eagle tooth profile in the steel rings now.

is the spider part of the crank on your model or is it bolted on? If its not obviously 1 piece look at the back of the spider (take the crank) out and see if its attached with 3 bolts. If its like that you can remove it and swap onto a new SRAM crank.

Not sure without going to look - and I’m away until Friday now.

Bird have come back to me with some Sram options so will probably go with one of those. Either the same / GX Eagle for gxp / NX Eagle for dub. GX Eagle for Dub is too expensive. There is also an X1 for gxp option but thats also more than I’d like to spend.
