looking for any suggestions for riding in the area.
was going to head over Bracknel/Swinley way
any tips for nice singletracky loopy stuff greatly appreciated
thanks in advance
You have the North Downs immediately above you, with a few trails on Reigate/Colley Hill and then on to Ranmore, Box Hill, Headley and then drop into Dorking and over towards the classic Surrey Hills honey-pot rides around Leith, Holmbury and Pitch Hills. While almost none of it is marked in the way Swinley might be, the riding is fantastic.
Their is a nice loop from the car park at the top of Reigate hill. Head Along the north downs way to the west until you get to the cyclist dismount descent. Take a right at the cross roads at the bottom of the descent. head along the single track further west at the bottom of the hill. Then head back up to the north downs way. Then return home.
If you’re local, get in touch with Redhill CC - we ride locally on sat mornings, and some mid week, there’s so much riding to be had, but it’s easier to show people rather than explain - as already mentioned, it’s not marked

thanks, where would you aim for to find the trail heads?
Reigate born, bred and returned! From your door riding generally all starts from Gatton Stables bridleway or Chalky climb which is off Pilgrims way. Some fun can be had in Reigate Hill “bike park” (a couple of single track trails and jump spots near Wray Lane carpark) before North Downs trails towards Dorking or Epsom. Ranmore, Headley and Banstead Common are all easily reached. If you are feeling fit (or on an ebike) the Surrey Hills can be linked up to. If I have the car I usually head to Ranmore or the Surrey Hills (Leith, Holmbury, Pitch and Winterfold all offer something different). I don’t really find Swinley worth the drive (unless it is proper messy everywhere else) but I don’t know the off piste stuff. There are a couple of evening pub group rides too which are a good laugh.
bigdaddy, only there for the day tomorrow, thanks for the invite though!
looks like peaslake is going to be easy option to find stuff, packed map on trailforks!
which car park?
If you’ve the time, exploring in the Reigate/leatherhead/dorking triangle will keep you entertained for the day, although either side of the mole/a24 gap would give you the best chance of ferreting something out in not too much distance- depends what sort of ride you’re looking for.
easy to follow simgletrack ideally, not bridleways, I know some of the N downs way from the NT free carpark to wands box hill, lots of stuff in mole valley hadley heath?
