I had a c456 and loved it, decided it was time to move up to the 29er hardtail to give it a go (have an orange alpine for the rougher stuff)

Built an on-one lurcher up and yes it rolls fast, good for mile munching xc but im not really enjoying it as much as the c456.

anyone else regret moving to a 29er?

lurcher is 21" so anyone toying with one give ma a shout as i have a feeling it will be sold soon 🙁

tempted to go back to a c456 so again if anyone one has a decent spec 20" c456 and fancy a swap/sale let me know

I moved from Alu Single Pivot to Carbon VPP....

I can never go back - the regret is when I need another bike 🙂

I changed from a Reign to a 456C as I wanted something lighter. Never really got on with it and changed back to a full suss pretty quickly. I realised that I enjoyed going down much more than going up.

Have you tried any other 29ers?

Your Lurcher has a head angle of 72 degrees, but more fun-oriented 29er HTs are coming out closer to 68 degrees now.

I couldn't go back to a 26in HT myself.

Regret selling custom painted, rigid, S/S Inbred to fund the F/S that I thought I needed. Stupid, stupid, stupid. 😳

I thought 456 is quite different in character than a lurcher? Maybe you prefer the more playful feel of a long travel HT.
