Researching options for getting wee babby out on/near the bike, I came across this:

http://www.cyclesprog.co.uk/family-cycling-advice/can-cycle-baby-sling-baby-carrier/

Great presentation of the facts, the grey areas and where you need to make your own mind up.

So, is it safe to cycle with my baby in a sling or baby carrier?

This is the million dollar question. I cannot answer it for you.

Each parent must make their own decision as to what constitutes a risky activity. BabyBjorn's advice that their carrier should not be used "during  sports or other leisure activities" is vague. Cycling down to the road to the shops is neither a sport nor a leisure activity. However going for a walk along a footpath on a Sunday afternoon is a leisure activity and playing chess is a sport.

Somehow unsurprised to see a link or two to this place, given the very good advice that's often available on here, but also unsurprised to see the link was an example of judgemental attitudes!

Well done to those behind this site, seems likely you're regulars on here.  I'll be making my way through the articles.

And DrP, 8 years on, how early did you get littlest Ps in the trailer and are you happy with your decisions?! (in relation to trailer!)
