Hello there. Even with the Mojo situation, I'm thinking about buying some new Fox 36 Float forks.
Fox have instructions on their website on how to reduce the travel on their 2017 36 forks but not for the 2018 forks.
Does anyone know if you can reduce the travel on the new forks?
I'm not certain on 36s, but for 34s you can; however, you do need to buy a complete new air shaft at £130 + consumables .
Thanks Daffy. Tftuned came back to me and said that was the case for the 2018 36 forks as well but that it's not possible to get the replacement air shaft at the moment due to the Mojo issue.
I don't know the technical ins and outs but this is surely a step back for Fox. Last year, you just needed to clip in a spacer, now we're back to having to buy all new air shafts like 6 years ago.
Not the best in my view but ... hey de ho, I'm only one of the folk that buys their products and pays their wages.
2018 36's require a new lower air shaft assy. 150 is the minimum travel I believe.
Sure it's not as convenient as clip in spacers, but the new damper is better'er
