Morning all,
Pretty achy this morning. Did a 5 hour stunt yesterday with a group I ride with and it was REALLY Muddy.
I'm used to normally going out for about 3 hours tops.
Was an absolute slog fest yesterday and can feel I've pushed the boundaries of what my legs are comfortable with.
Now normally that'd be great however I'm riding again with a group tomorrow night...
Am I best to rest today or do a light spin later? Want to be fresh as possible tomorrow and I'm unsure which is best. Full recovery or a light active recovery?
I nearly always find a light ride helps. Just enough to get the blood flowing.
Message is great to if you can improvise aa stick or foam roller.
Recovery rides work well for me but they have to be VERY gentle and fairly short.
If I were in your shoes I'd gor for a 15-20 min spin around the block then have a 20mins snooze on the sofa.
