I've always found Komoot rather frustrating to use and am currently struggling to work out how to recommend a place or user created highlight.
The map is full of user generated 'highlights' that can be recommended by other users. There are a few that I'd like to add my recommendation to but I just can't work out how to do it. I was assuming that there would be a thumbs up or recommend icon/button but I can't find one.
The help system seems desperate to tell me how to remove previously added recommendations but not how to add them in the first place. Can anyone help?
I'm using Komoot as a webpage in Microsoft Edge under Windows 10, not the Android App.
I agree, Komoot has some real oddities of how to add things, how to plan the route you want, and a load of highlights that are someone's selfie in a cafe....
Being so user driven, the quality can be crap and the quantity so variable....

Click on the image and this page pops up. There are Thumbs Up/Down buttons at the top of the page. Doesn't seem to happen on every image though?

In order to be able to recommend a place you have to have visited in during an activity. Looking at other places I've been I do indeed get the icons, it's just the one I was trying to recommend that I don't (I rode it yesterday morning and have done once before).
If I zoom in very close to the point where the highlight is located my gps track suddenly jumps in a straight line between 2 points. I think I must have lost the GPS connection temporarily so don't have a GPS point that matches the highlight closely enough; frustrating!
Possibly this highlight lives in a gps blackspot (perhaps I need to turn Glonas on next time).

I’m glad it’s not just me. I fully admit that it might just be because I’m not used to it but trying to plan a route I just can’t get it to go where I want it to and searching for other people’s routes to follow is hit & miss.
My question now though is if I find a highlight that looks interesting, how can I then find a route that includes it? I’m sure I saw a button once that said something like “routes that include this highlight”?
I’m in a van with a bike in the back and a day to kill around Ratagan / Shiel bridge - I was hoping Komoot would come up with some suggestions.
