So I want to start being able to do more with my bike or future bikes as I have never really been hands on. Changing stems and bars seem quite a simple task but I dont have the tools!
So what are the recommendations for Torque Wrench on a budget?
The one at wiggle seems to get decent reviews?
I have a topeak bendy bar one for low torque stuff. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/mobile/topeak-combo-torq-wrench/rp-prod137802
Either buy a 5nm preset one, Richey, Park and Bontrager all do one that would work, or buy a "proper" wrench from someone like Norbar.
I looked at the preset ones - but guess you need a range of them to cover all the bolts etc?

In theory, yes. In practice, 5nm covers the majority of things.
5nm covers the majority of things.
So, not all the bolts then... 🙄
Have a search for torque wrench on here, there was a thread with a test of a lot of the bike ones.. & it suggested that wiggle one, which is a generic unit sold by lots of ppl (for lots of prices) are all the same & fine. I had a norbar, sent it off for calibration & they wrote it off, so I won't be bothering with an expensive one again, just binning my genetic unit after 4-5 years
I have the Sealey one, which is a compact-size "proper" torque wrench. Works a treat, but doesn't come with bits / adapters, so you need to source them elsewhere:

I have that Wiggle one, and it seems fine, especially for the price. Nice little case with the bits and bobs too.
