You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I'm staying down in the Brecon Beacons for a few days with my road bike. Don't know that part of the world, so looking for some recommended road routes:
- starting from Pontsticill (just north of Merthyr Tydfil)
- hill climbs wanted 🙂
- anything from 30 - 80/90 miles
- quiet roads (avoiding the worst of the bank holiday traffic!)
Any advice appreciated (including the best cafe stops 🙂 )
Mrs Stoner did a loop with the Tewkesbury Tri bunch last year down that way. I'll see if she has a gpx or something.
EDIT: sorry cant find it. She prob didnt have her garmin with her. 🙁
Thanks for checking anyway.
Any other suggestions from folks? (Doesn't have to be a garmin route, just a general description will do)
Ta 🙂
Loads of good roads around there.
What about part of the Gospel pass audax route - you could start from Brecon area, take back roads to Hay on Wye and then up the pass (epic!) and back round via Aber & Crickhowell?
Otherwise, link up some B roads and off you go!
